Painting on a Plate

The Rectangular series is an experimentation with methods of drawing and colourizing techniques applied onto a porcelain surface. Approaching the porous porcelain bisque as a blank paper surface.

It attempts to integrate watercolours, pastel, and crayon mediums with high temperature glazing techniques used in porcelain firing.

By working with underglaze glaze and sucessive firing. It achieves effects similar to printing technique.

The elements of the composition and colour are reminiscent of a painter's vision.

Round Plates

With imagery inspired by weather forecasts, Round paintings, Time and Dismantled Clocks, Delia uses the plate as a medium to express the notions of running against time.
